Acne vulgaris is a skin disorder occurs when the hair follicles get accumulated with an excess of dead skin cells and oil from the skin. It is manifested either in the form of pimples, whiteheads, blackheads, cysts, nodules, papules etc. The areas more prone to acne vulgaris are face, neck, back, shoulder, chest, and upper arms. Though acne can occur at any age it is commonly seen during pubertal age as the sebaceous glands are more active.
