Estrogen-<\/b> Diethylstilbestrol is a synthetic (man-made) form of the hormone estrogen. It\u2019s often used in treatments for prostate cancer. Again, there\u2019s a pattern between increased estrogen and melasma\u00a0<\/p>

Hypothyroidism:<\/b> A condition where your thyroid is underactive<\/p>

LED Screens<\/b>: Melasma may be caused by the LED lights from your television, laptop, cell phone and tablet<\/p>

Pregnancy:<\/b> It is unclear why \u201cthe mask of pregnancy\u201d happens to pregnant women<\/p>
